Naked Conversations Party

Naked Conversations launch party
The book-launch party for Robert Scoble and Shel Israel’s “Naked Conversations,” that is. It was a great time — good food and wine, wide variety of people, and a spectacular setting at the historic home of John and Allison Dillow. We had Robert autograph a copy of the book, which I’m starting today.

I spent some time at the party getting to know Robert’s brother Alex. He has a blog too, of course. We discussed the details of our respective digital cameras (his Canon and my Nikon) while Megan and Alex’s girlfriend Carol discussed a slightly broader set of topics. Women get like that sometimes. :-) I also met Todd Bishop of the Seattle PI, the writer who does their Microsoft blog.

the Reading Gaol
Later in the evening we went up to Ballard for another party, at a quite different venue with a quite different crowd including Pepe the charismatic leather-clad Chihuahua and a 3-piece band featuring tablas, violin, and electric guitar. Then somehow we ended up at the Reading Gaol in Ballard for a nightcap (right).

With all the travel lately we haven’t gone out in Seattle since before Christmas. It was fun!
