  1. Ha! You went to the old “Stop & Drink!” I love that place! You might already know this, but before it was bought by the “ale house” folks and made a bit more respectable, it was a dark, dodgy place that would go through an amazing transformation each day/night. At certain times of the day, it was a hangout for cops (the station being right around the corner on Chicago Ave.); during the late night, however, it was the preferred hangout for local cross dressers, transvestites and the like. The funny part was the transition period. If you walked in at the right time, you could find Dirty Harry showing on one television and (typically) Pakistani porn on another.

Don’t ask why I know this.

  2. Photoshop can be so misleading. We didn’t drop in the Stop & Drink, just stopped for a photo on the way to Bar Louie. But after I read your post to Megan this morning she suggested we go to the Stop & Drink for lunch today. :-)

Actually, we were wandering around that neighborhood looking for Cosmo’s because I wanted to buy Megan an “I get my drugs at Cosmo’s” orange t-shirt. What ever happened to that place?

  3. I miss my old adopted home town - great photos!

  4. George….of course you miss it! You moved to “Missoura!”
