I came here from a Canadian city where coffee isn't exactly gourmet and I was still extremely shocked by just how bad it is... Over in 119 we still don't have Starbucks. If you still have a Farmer Brother's machine, look at the side for the manufacture date, the things are surprisingly old. Our office's machine is old enough to drive!

You know, until my current office gig, office coffee has always been uniformly terrible. Add to that the powdered whitener, and it really does take desperation before even I could drink it.

You're in for a treat with these new machines, though. Parity has GREAT coffee and real cream. I'll sometimes just wait and get my first cup at work, even though we make damned good coffee here at home. It really does add to your day, particularly on long days. It's just kind of nice to drink office coffee for something other than just the caffeine.

'Course, I'd imagine that in Seattle, there's a higher level of coffee expectations than here. So even what we might consider good coffee may not make the grade.

Well, it's still that Farmer's Bros swill in 34, so let me know if you want to pop out for a latte this afternoon.

Maybe a latte at Redmond Town Center - I need to go to REI for some of those gel-seat cycling shorts... :)
