Putting Mom to Sleep

Last night I gave a presentation to the Seattle .NET User Group, which meets on Microsoft’s campus the first Wednesday of each month. Here’s a link to some more details of the presentation.

Mom decided to drive up to Redmond and check it out, just to see what I do for a living these days. She sat in the back and did her best to pay attention, but as you can see the topic — Office Open XML development using the new .NET 3.0 System.IO.Packaging API — wasn’t very exciting to her.

Well, Mom, now you know!

  1. Hey, where’d you get the army of Dougs? I particularly like Scary Doug (all the way on the right).

  2. Yeah, I think these photos are proof that Megan needs a D70, don’t you? I mean, how else am I going to get lots of photos of me?

  3. I knew Megan took a picture of me, but I didn’t realize it was while I was yawning. Well, I had a long day–and frankly I wasn’t understanding much of what was said. That sounds like a lame excuse though doesn’t it?

  4. Believe me, Mom, I know how it is to find out that Megan got a picture of you that you hadn’t known she got. There are a couple of videos of me on YouTube that fall into that category!
