Yeah, they stink. I’ve only had one, after playing in a hockey game when I was a kid — neat visuals, but the pain later was the worst I had ever felt to that point in my life. But I have a couple of friends who are on medication for them, as they would otherwise get them all the time. They both (they’re sisters) describe migraines as feeling like if you could just chop that part of your head out, it would all be fine. Very localized, apparently, and not too good for your long-term judgment, either.
You might want to call your doc when you get home, so you can get a scrip for whatever Hanne gave you (if you think it helped).
And feel what you will for Scottie Pippen, but remember that Michael Jordan played (and won the game for them) when he had the flu with dehydration and a very high fever. Of course, it could also be that Scottie couldn’t play because he couldn’t see properly. But that wouldn’t have stopped Michael, no sir.

They need to update that Saturday Night Live routine about Da Coach. Not that many people (that I know, anyway) really feel that way about Ditka, but everyone feels that way about MJ. In fact, I just got back from dinner and we were sitting there just an hour ago, in Paris, talking about how amazing Michael Jordan was and how it’s hard to imagine anyone else ever living up to what he did in basketball.
More pictures shortly …

Yes, much better. Not least because I’m being pampered in SAS Business Class over the North Atlantic right now.
I’m trying to upload my photos from the last evening in Paris, but it appears that Boeing’s Connexion satellite wireless system doesn’t support FTP, so I may need to do that when I get home.
Hey Tom, Hannes said a friend of his brought some of those pills to the US and was detained a long time when the TSA found them. It’s some sort of pain killer, but I didn’t get the name. And the last thing I’m going to do is prepare for more migraines anyway — once is enough!
I’ll either have those photos uploaded soon, or it will be over the weekend back home in Seattle …
