Back on-line

More or less … I still don’t have my Vista laptop working with the wireless at home. I re-installed my firewall client today, so we’ll see how that goes tonight, if I ever get out of here. The last few days have each been several hours too short, and today’s going the same way. But we’re moved, more or less, and life’s good. The cats are enjoying the new place …

Hey, did anyone see Apple’s lame finger-pointing about the Ipod virus. Geez … “we are upset at Windows for not being more hardy against such viruses.” What do you even say to something like that? Well, maybe something like this.

Although, given that Microsoft has sponsored this site, I’m really not sure who has less class this week. Come on guys, are we really doing something like that? Yech.

Gotta run …

  1. Success — re-installing the firewall seems to have cleared things up.

I don’t know why I had so much trouble with this. Maybe I somehow installed the wrong version of the firewall client when I first set up my machine. Others seem to have a no-brainer experience with recent Vista builds and networking, and now mine works that way too. Finally!

  2. broken camera parts? not good…why are you not saying anything about the bo bo? just blame it on the cats.

  3. Hello! Auntie M. here! Trying to make a comment on the new house, view, dinner, etc. Am lost, dazed and confused. Plus, am moving all my bar equipment and barware into the office along with some more book shelves I got and …well…an empty bookcase fell on Tippy’s back. Guess I should go…see about her. It’s just that the older and older she gets, the less inclined I am to get too worried when something like a car hitting her or a bookcase falling on her happens. Also, there is that new baby Panda of Lun Lun’s that I just can’t get enough of. Has everyone seen her?! AWWW…she’s so sweet. zoo atlanta panda cam….bye. (OH, Doug..in Meg’s blog, I was sort of inviting myself to TG dinner…how is that w/you?)

  4. Marsha, I love the idea. Let me go tell Megan to read her blog right now.

As for Tippy, she’s survived this long with you, I think she has it figured out. :-)

  5. Thanksgiving would be great. We have so many damn dishes now. Everyone should come.

  6. Hey strangers! so how is the new house? Missing you guys on Hamlet! Let get together soon!

    much love,
