Universal Portofino Bay

Hotels here in the Disney World area are geared more toward vacationers than business travelers. So they have a lot of things to amuse the kids and the grandparents; more bright colors and artificial decorations than business hotels, and much less chance of wireless access or power outlets in the lobby.

I took a walk around Portofino Bay this morning and snapped a few pictures. It’s a pleasant enough place, with a nice jogging trail around the lake. I didn’t hit it every morning, but hey once is more than nothing and I still have one more morning to double my virtue tomorrow.

I saw this hummer last night on the way to dinner. Check out the low-profile tires. They used to say these things are designed to drive over curbs at 40mph, but this one risks a blowout every time it goes over a speed bump. Need I add … it had really loud rap music playing, shaking the cars nearby, with a driver who looked like a young Bruce Willis with tattoos. I love Florida.
