OW OW OWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Guess you've heard about our (Georgia--- in the mainstream cities....if not OUR front porch) Black Bears turning up everywhere since our notewworthy drought?

I have always feared bears jumping out from the bushes in MS. Just always felt....one day...one would do it.

Now, have real reason to sustain fears, but am, instead, focusing on tomato plant bugs.

I could have done without the vomit, but would have shared Megan's righteous anger---and no doubt heartrending relief for his return.

Bastard. Indeed.

I have mailed some harnessing tools for future weekends out on the town.

BTW: What did Isaac or Murg have to say about his being gone for 2 days? When Dumb Dumb is outside (too stupid to come in), Andy is absolutely beside himself. Whining and moaning til they both get put out.

hello, everyone. goodbye.

The cats actually seemed eager to go out and play with him. Dumbasses. But who knows, maybe they're already buddies. Coons are tough, but I've heard they don't generally attack cats unless the cats really provoke them.

Fish and Murg are currently lusting after some birds on the wire right outside the glass doors. That wire can be a bit of an eyesore, but it does attract a lot of pretty/appetizing visitors.

Hey I agree with Doug - that D40 looks like a wonderful little camera.

It is, but I have to tell you I'm really lusting over a D40: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d40.htm

I went to a local camera store and tried one out, and it's so small and light, but still has all the features I like, and a much larger/brighter LCD than the D70. And the 18-55mm lens it comes with would be perfect for most situations, and then I'd have two backs (like I had a few years ago in the film days with the N90S and the F100), so I could keep the 12-24mm wide-angle on one at all times.

Anyway, I'm thinking after we get Megan a new laptop I can swing a D40 kit. And then I can finally send the D70 in and get those specks cleaned off the CCD that I can't seem to get myself with a static cleaning kit.

Get a D40, Tom: $530 with the lens. It's really the least you can do for your wife and daughter. :-)
