Could the dome things be mounts for anti-aircraft artillery (or earlier American or Spanish cannons)? There are a few things to the northwest of the bridge that look like artillery positions, so I wonder (particularly with that funky indent ring on the top) if there wasn’t some kind of defensive thing mounted there. It would be an important spot to defend for whoever owned it, you know?
