Happy Birthday, Mom

Today is my mother’s birthday, and due to our travel and work schedules we’re probably not going to see other other until after New Year’s. We live a few miles apart in the Seattle area, but sometimes weeks or months go by without a chance to get together.

Enjoy the day, Mom, and maybe we can get a cup of coffee or something next weekend when we’re both in Seattle.

And happy birthday George and Scott, too! It’s a busy birthday weekend.

  1. Happy Birthday Lavonne. Didn’t know it was so close to mine. (Nov.22) Where are you?

  2. I have been to Oregon on a Wesley bus trip. We spent Saturday night at the Doubletree in Portland and went to the “Living Christmas Tree”–It is a choral production at some theater there in Portland. They have been doing this for 47 years and really put on a fine production.
Then Sunday we went on to the Columbia Gorge Hotel near Hood River. That is a National Historic Site and they pamper you quite well and definitely over feed you–but I enjoyed it.

Then tonight when I got home, Ken’s family took me out for dinner–so I am well stuffed.

What time do you get home on Friday, Doug?

  3. I get home before noon, although I may need to work for a while after that. Are you free Friday evening? If so, let’s get together in December!

  4. No, I am not free Friday evening. I work until 3:30 and at 6:15 go to a get to-gether of people going on the Rhine River cruise a couple days later. But Saturday eveniong would be a possible time for me.

    Love, mom

  5. Thanks, and happy birthday to all December born! 11 of us are using it as an excuse to spend the week on the beach in Mexico. Be home tomorrow!

  7. oops (as usual)–posted belated birthday greetings on wrong comment.

    ….sigh.
Love you, though I may not be able to navigate the wish in the right spot–hope it reaches you cosmicaly if nothing else.
