And I found pictures of some cool <a href="http://epod.usra.edu/archive/epodviewer.php3?oid=309856" rel="nofollow">starling flocks in Denmark</a>. Ah, starlings. Yes, I’ve heard they travel in big groups. :-)

Here’s a video of a falcon repeatedly diving on a giant flock of starlings. And I found pictures of some cool starling flocks in Denmark.

I see these by the hundreds in monster flocks as Winter approaches. They swirl around above our corner intersection and land on the lawns. I feared for my late-Fall grass seeding, but they just wanted the bugs and worms. They take fright easily (and en mass) but I have managed a few pictures since I started keeping my camera at my desk. I must make a space for my camera again, once I have removed all the other clutter, so I can catch returning birds and perhaps the neighborhood pair of bald eagles with my new 55-200mm zoomer. Have you figured out what these birds are, especially the speckled ones?
