Groundhog Day at Pike Place Market
A few of us photo fanatics went on a photo safari at Pike Place Market this morning. John, I’ve mangled a few of these with Photoshop just to try to encourage you to go out and get a copy.
I brought home some of that broccoli romanesco, to see what Megan might want to do with it. Looks tasty … I say we eat it!

Photo 12 (the neon sign) has a very Edward Hopper vibe to it. Is that the watercolor filter in Photoshop?

It’s not watercolor, but now I’m not sure which filter that was. I think it was a combination of dry brush and something. Damn, should have paid more attention — I kind of like that one, too.

You know, on second glance, that broccoli has kind of a neat fractal look to it. How did it taste? And I’m quite curious about what “little green balls of death” are (stocked out of frame in front of the fractal broccoli). Not to mention “mixed baby Toms” (which I can figure out, but still personally find slightly nightmarish nonetheless).

Ahhh, the memories of our own trip that Saturday morning one year ago (today??) on the Feel No Pain Tour.
It is certainly a colorful place and the pics are great. But, don’t you find that the broccoli looks more…like cauliflower?
Or, sort of like green, atom bomb fall out?
How’s LaVonne?

the little green balls of death were plain old brussel sprouts, Mixed Baby Tom.
LaVonne is doing well, Marsha. She’s planning a trip to Turkey now … never stops moving.

TURKEY?!
Dear Lord, LaVonne! When is my adoption going to take place, eh?
I mean, you do know that I’m available? Did the Seattle Mahugh’s tell you/give you my many messages of love and devotion ( and surrender– Santana/John McLaughlin—’member THAT album anyone???)
Enjoy/send post cards–I treasure and appreciate yours.
And, be safe (why are you going there?)!
