  1. The blue room is where? Looks like it’s on the first floor. Will it serve as an extra sleeping space? Just looking at Megan assembling the futon reminds me of how much I hate buying unassembled furniture. Have fun.

  2. First floor, back left. That’s the room where the guest of honor will stay. Hint, hint.

  3. Do you mean Elton?

  4. Yes, and there’s room for him to bring a date.

  5. Great. Can’t wait.

  6. Who? What? Where? Blue Room?

Why not the Aunt–and you PROVIDE a date, eh?

Big congrats, kiddos! Told Gran, ” Doug sent some pics, Mom–they got the keys to the house!. On one pic, sorta looks like Meg is building a bed.”

And the Gran said (from her chair in the LR) , “Did they keep the furniture in the house that was already there? I hope they did.”

Last night, I dreamed that I had gone to SEATTLE to meet Lynnly and the Elt for a boat trip that was a horrid disaster with all aboard turning over the boat and nearly drowning, then LYNN demanding that we all pay a minimum of $100 each in order to be put on the rescue list. And, she wouldn’t take a check! If I recall….I had to go to Home Depot and charge $100 worth of merchandise–THEN GO BACK to the boat to be saved. Dreams…sigh. (like I still have a credit card. Ha!)

    nite, nite. love, love

  7. Marsha, you and Granny should come visit this summer. And we won’t charge $100 to rescue you, no matter what kind of trouble you find yourself in.

So I’m at the airport in Taipei. It’s always a hassle here. This time I walked from one end of the airport to the other to get a boarding pass, then walked all the way back, caught a train to Terminal 1, went through security, walked forever to the China Air lounge. Now that I’m finally here, I have about 10 minutes until I need to leave for my gate, which is far away from here. Oh well, at least this time it’s a reasonable 7:00AM with lots of other people around. I’ve done this same routine at 3:00AM, which is even less fun.

Sigh … enjoy the house, Megan, I’m sure I’ll hardly recognize it when I return in a few days.

  8. Ok, I know I don’t keep up with the blogs anymore, Doug (h), but…I thought you were going to be traveling LESS these days? How could you be in an airport there, and Meg in the new house with all the wounderous doings–alone?

About a summer visit, I am just now checking the GA Unemployment Insurance requisite earnings windows…I can’t in any good conscience quit the job, but had the great good news just yesterday that I may soon be fired! Hoorah! (The gran: not yet told….shhh)

Say, June… or August for my wee visit then?

In last night’s dream, I was in SF shopping for candles for your new house. What do you need/want?

I have found that most airports, btw, are somewhat creepy around those 3am times. Zero shopping… Chilis–closed…

  9. August sounds perfect. June is getting kind of crazy already … we were going to take a Pacific Northwest road trip that month, I’ll be busy with work here in Seattle in June, and rumor has it that Louis and his latest flame may drop in (!). We’ll be better able to give you our undivided attention in August.

  10. I LOVE your new home! it’s beautiful. i can’t wait to visit… speaking of which, i’ll be in town next week so if y’all are around, we should get drinks.

    tracy

ps, tell megan to post a new blog already!

  11. cool.

I qualify for unemployment earnings eligibility found out. I should be able to vacation around August…but, am looking into Tulum, Mexico as well…need to get to Northern CA to clean up some final stuff with Karlan, his …’estate’….har har. We’ll see how everything plays out.

We have another dog (sigh)–TEDDY. I either rescued him from the park yesterday…or stole him. He is VERY SWEET AND BEAUTIFUL! Might or might not keep him…he can clear the deck railings and leave as is his desire, seems. Poos on the floor…makes Daisy feel very much the outsider…

  12. Oh, Marsha! Send a photo, please.

Tracy, drinks next week, yes. As for Megan’s blog … she has a new hobby that comes with a mortgage. It might be a while.
